strawberry shortcake.

So simple! So delicious! So summery and light!

Gather ingredients: Sugar, strawberries, milk, butter, pancake mix. I got the Bisquick one.

Step One: Chop large amount of strawberries. Like, four cups.

Step Two: Mix with 1/4 cup of sugar.

Step Three: In a large bowl, mix 2 1/3 cup of pancake mix, 2/3 cup of milk, three tablespoons of sugar and three spoons of melted butter.

Step Four: Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto a large baking sheet. In preheated oven (425F), bake for ten minutes.

Step Five: Split warm shortcakes down the middle, stuff with strawberries.

Step Six: Serve with extra-creamy vanilla ice-cream.

chilly-garlic beef-noodles.

Another attempt at making Chinese food for Sunday lunch. Very simplese.

Step One: Chop. Onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, spring onions, jalapenos, red chillies. Can I just say how excited I was to find red onions at the market? Red onions > white onions.

Step Two: Cube half pound of stir-fry beef.

Step Three: Boil noodles with salt, pepper and a dash of oil to prevent the noodles from sticking. Drain once tender.

Step Four: Heat oil in a skillet. Cook veggies. Cook beef.

Mr. Sachinky gives it a stir.

Step Five: Mix in some chilly-garlic sauce. I used the Lee Kum Kee variety and it was pretty good.

Step Six:  Mix in the noodles and let it cook together for a couple of minutes.
